Could anybody help me in this topic? I tried to browse but I could not
find any relevant information.
Running mencoder on an MPEG2 file it writes some information to the
screen. There is one line like:
„VIDEO: MPEG2 720x576 (aspect 3) 25.000 fps …"
... or ...
„VIDEO: MPEG2 720x576 (aspect 2) 25.000 fps …"
Can somebody explain what is the difference? Is it the DAR flag
(anamorph coding)? I suppouse aspect 3 can be the 16:9 DAR flag and
aspect 2 can be 4:3 DAR flag. Am I right? Did I misunderstood
something?
Thanx!
